This is insane in an awesome way. The same can't be said about the price though.

I don't know why, but I sure wasn't expecting a rear engined van :P

this is sssoooo cccccoooooolll. i would by one of these and turn it into a hippie machine; paint it green, put some pink flowers in it, shaggy interior, screens, a disco ball etc. and join all the green gatherings in the world. "hey guys, im greeenn, and im riding on 558 ponies. let's save the.... wuuurrllld"

I'd think such a layout wouldn't be that much of a stretch in a VW, for one. Personally, I think VW missed an opportunity with the "Up" to bring back the rear-engine layout, which could have worked for a van as well... It really improves the internal usable space:exterior dimentions ratio alot, as seen in it's most recent incarnation the Vanagon.

Oh, I know, but being in North America, Rear engined cars are rare to say the least, especially when it comes to van's.

This is insane in a cool way. If i had to get a mini bus it would like something like this. I dont get the point of the old Porsche steering wheel, i think that it looks stupid.

all the parts are from the 996 model , including the steering wheel.

porsche engine swaps made sense with the T3 vw van, since it had the 4 or six banger flat in the back anyway. now its an entirely new car and looks like way too much hassle. so go out there find a T3 that has not been converted to a camper or pimped with crayola flower power art and get a air cooled 964 engine for the genuine fun..
