Look at the main photo. Do you see that vehicle? That is the future of cars... No emission. No sound. No emotion. Sad.

Is this all automakers? or just american automakers? Because, the highest mileage number bmw is putting out is 28mpg on the highway. Porsche 27mpg on the highway, and benz only has one car at 32mpg on the highway, otherwise the rest are 26...

You my friend are wrong, Benz has lot's of cars above 32mpg, just not in NA yet. And the SMART evens out their fleet economy, BMW same thing so many amazing Diesels over in europe, plus they have the Mini electric and mini diesel coming soon. Porsche will own VW by then and be very safe. European brands area way over the 35mpg fleet average in europe, it's all a matter of waiting for the right moment to bring their european fleet over. I also think there are some more guidelines than all your vehicles sold must average 35mpg by 2020..I'm sure production #s are in that equation somewhere, it would have to be a weighted average, in which case something like Lamborghini with their small figures would be taken care of by the thousands of Golf TDIs sold. You get what im saying?

Well, I am pretty sure these rules that Obama is setting up will only apply to north america.

Just another good reason for Porsche to purchase VW. They are genius's!

When will America do diesel! My car does over 40mpg, If I had a car that only did 27mpg I'd be peeved about having to fill up constantly!

US emission standards are too tough for European cars, but we do appreciate the huge amount of Gas Guzzler tax's that BMW, M&B pay, we need the money to fix GM!
