Lexus LF-A Production Version set for Tokyo Unveiling?

Will this be enough to make Clarkson say that Lexus it's not a boring brand, Toyobaru coupe also expected, I'm so looking forward to that car.

I am seriously looking forward to this car finally being unveiled - Seems like we have been watching videos and spyshots forever. I have high hopes for the LF-A and hope it gives Lexus some real respect and attention as it's cars are almost forgotten by the public at large. The main image on this page is how I would love the car to appear but I assume headlights will be toned down - I think it looks incredible and the LF-A Roadster shown some months back is a stunner.

Again, Clarkson means nothing to me. And about the IS-F losing every comparison? Two things: 1. I didn't make a comparison, on its own you simply cannot call an IS-F boring. Did you drive it? I did, regardless of any comparison, it was NOT boring. 2. Sport Auto, famous French magazine that you can hardly called biased towards Japanese cars, named it one of their most positive surprises of 2008. And it was in good company with cars like Lotus Elise, KTM, Gumpert, ...

Oh jesus, reading is not so easy it seems. I didn't say people shouldn't be comparing. I said I didn't compare. I'm not interested in buying an IS-F and I'm not interested in buying an M3 (don't get me started on a C63). So, one more time, on its own, the IS-F is NOT a boring car. And by the way, going from an IS-F to a Tata Nano, that's being ridiculous.

Hahaha, on some of these clowns comparing the M3 and IS-F. Have you guys driven both, and I am not even talking about owning them because I am pretty confident some don't even own cars! Both are very different. I personally like the e92 M3 better, but I've driven the IS-F and it's an impressive car. I find the ride not too harsh ( I own an E46 comp package m3 and I love the suspension set-up) I think lexus did a good job at a first attempt in that segment. I just think there is too much german snobbery when it comes to cars from other countries that give it competition. The way I see I love all cars and fortunate enough to own and driven a lot to make up my own opinion

I think this car looks like something out of a cartoon. I'm afraid it will look really dated in 5-6 years. As far as German snobbery, there probably is a lot of that. But when you look under the hood, and under the car and really look at how the car is built, and where some car companies cut corners and some don't, I think you would find the quality of the parts in a German car are superior in many ways. Look at things like the quality and grade of wiring, electrical tape, parts construction, hoses, placement of critical components in regards to saftey and functionality in the even of an accident, door and hood latches, panel gaps inside and out, trim pieces, coverings underneath the car to protect against debris and noise, etc. The Japanese car companies are masters of emulating and marketing someone else's design. Having said all that, I still prefer Honda to any other Asian company.

Yet, with all those so called "superior," parts please explain why Honda, Toyota, wipe the floor with german cars when it comes to long term and overall reliability??? And trust me, I've owned and still own plenty of german, japanese, and Italian cars. I am going by first hand experience on these cars, and please don't give me that "I've never had problems with my BMW, or mercedes and it has 20k miles," or how "every car breaks down, it's machine." True to a point, but Euro cars, as a whole, are not as reliable as japanese cars, period!!! How is that "superior?" And I dare say that Lexus build quality and even Acura is much better then many german cars and probably on par with Porsche or Audi. Bottom line is I am sick of all this debate about being better, there is NO better or superior car, that's subjective and the only thing that matters is if the car is "better," for you!

Its better they Launch end of this year or not at all I put this car down as my dream car and start budgeting when they bring to my Country ZAR GO Lexus GO

It's a pity that the Honda NSX project is cancelled just before it's finished. It could have been a serious rival to the LF-A. The LEXUS can now only compete with the big GT-R.
