how sad! only 11 horses they did say that the hp wars were over for them but com on only 11 ponies. i think slowly but surely the m5 and rs6 will dominate the ueber sedan field

Why do people just outright ignore the Cadillac CTS-V, as if it were no worthy competitor of the E63, the RS6, and the M5? Word on the street is, it would not be crazy to call the Caddy the new big dog (for now at least). But it seems people just hate the idea of having an outsider in such an exclusive clique; they are reluctant to mention it as another competitor with more horsepower than this E63.

This car looks really good in black and with those rims. That is the only way i would be able to buy a new E Class.

the RS6 has 570 Stallions, surely the e63 will have to get closer to 540-550hp, but u neva know the source could be false,

The E63 simply doesn't need much more extra power. The current E63 weighs almost 200 kg less than the Audi, so it stands to reason, the E63 would require less power than the Audi. Couple that to the fact that Mercedes said they would concentrate on weight reduction, this difference may increase. Both the current E63 and RS6 actually have about the same power to weight ratio of 281 and 286 bhp/tonne, respectively.
So, in all, it looks like quite an equal fight. Which car takes your fancy is down to looks basically.

even if it had 100.000 hp , the speed is still limited to 250 km/h , screw hp , this thing needs torque to move it's fat ass.

come on, guys, the difference in the power between the E AMG and the RS6 isn't that much big. and the Audi is kinda heavy, so if Merc make their car lighter, i'd say it has one hell of a chance to beat the RS6, even with "only" 525hp. :P

the M5 has 384lb-ft, 520NM torque. the Merc will accelerate faster , but will it corner better than the M5 ?

Good God the torque figure is monstrous!
I don't care what the Audi RS6 has for its horsepower...this AMG is going to be a blast off the line with that torque!
In the real world the AMG is going to be much more fun driving around.

Looks like they've made it a bit edgier...not saying I'm a fan of Merc's styling, but I'd def say it's an improvement over the last model. And on a side note...torque is king!!!

What a bunch of losers, by the 2009 CTS-V
beats the crap out of the 63 amg and the M5
at 25K less than those losers and has top notch interior and exterior.....
read the reviews, if you losers can read
By the way the best prices try Plaza Cadillac, or where I got mine at Superior Cadillac in Michigan... they have fantastic prices...
