In spite of media stories alluding to General Motors reconsidering the performance divisions of its brands, Opel seems to have the go-ahead for the Insignia OPC. Granted there was no official word on this regarding Europe's Opel Performance Centre (OPC).

Kit seen on the big OPC includes Brembo brakes, a small OPC badge on the front doors and big exhaust pipes. From the looks of things this is a car that is pretty much complete.

The previous family performance sports sedan from Opel was the Vectra which campaigned using a 2.8-litre V6 turbo engine to make 188 kW (255 hp). Gaining two additonal turbos, the natural assumption is that the production Insignia OPC will easily top this figure and go over 220kW (300hp).

We should soon see the vehicle at one of the upcoming international motor shows.

Now that is a pretty cool looking car - Aggressive and purposeful without over doing it. Really nice Opel.

The article seems to say the bumpers are incomplete whereas as I cannot see what's wrong with them...

and with the new OPC front bumper this Opel looks much closer to the original GT concept and it's not bad at all

Good for opel/vauxhall for having the guts to produce a performance version . Something Ford cant seem to do or takes an age to release them . all the mondeo's available are just cooking models .

WOW look a blatant copy of the american Mazda6, if you want this car just lower the mazda6. Better quality i bet a more powerful engine too

good looking car, but could do with some more power from a purely figurative point, especially considering smaller engines like mazdas 2.3 with 190kw and fords 4 banger with 224 kw already have more power than the future revision they mention.

theyve got the looks, they just need to power it up and theyll have an rs-6 challenger :D

Nice! Expect this car to blitz all of its competition in a straight line.
