For some reason, I dont think that people that will buy a Panamera will be too keen on the large-and-ugly low-resistance tyres...if they would trow on some D's, the thing would sell like hot cakes:) And am I the only one that thinks that this FUEL ECONOMY stuff is all BS? How much fuel will u save on those tyres? And how much does the 4-section air conditioning system consume? A LOT MORE THAN THE TYRES SAVE!

Gas is cheap here, 80 cents a liter is very bearable. I'm just crossing my fingers that it can stay here for another year. But as to the article, these aren't really innovations, nothing is new. Also, 21mpg on the easier european cycle is a pretty sorry number (even with 400hp).

21mpg is pretty damn good for a combined cycle in an AWD 4000lb car powered by a 4.8L V8. AWD really kills your city MPG. The A8 V8, BMW 750 or Merc S550 don't do much or better at all, in fact i can't think of any car in this category powered by a 400hp Petrol to get better combined cycle mpg.

Doesn't matter if my dad is driving. He can make the Prius (that fugly lunchbox) have 10 mpg on regular use.
