Some people who have not been at a modern manufacturing plant such as Audi's may not realise how much human input is still required in the building of cars. On these video clips we can view some of the actions involved in the construction and assembly of the Audi A4 and the Q5. Parts like the dashboard, windscreen and front grille are installed by hand in this process.
Robots play a role but humans are the ultimate controllers of the processes as it is they who run final checks on an Audi's worthiness to be on the road.
Organised auto manufacturing plant tours usually last about 45 minutes depending on the size of the plant but you can have a free one here and be done in 5 minutes.

awesome video...and that q5 is one beautiful lil suv!!!
Wow when the put the car for that test run, I wondered how many miles they put on my Q7 before they brought it to the dealer
Meh, none of them "human" jobs look interesting...all of the cool jobs are done by robots, the humans just take a piece of something and stick it into the only possible place...
i'd say most of my money gone to the prebuild parts like engine, gearbox, dashboard, i like to see how these metal and plastic were built to these things, and that will cause much more labor i belive.
