Kia's upcoming 2010 Sorento XM has been caught with its camouflaged pants down thanks to a crew member who decided to take their own pictures at a private brochure photo shot.

Originally scheduled to debut at the Seoul Motor Show next month, these new pictures show the fully unmasked 2010 Sorento featuring a far more premium exterior design which blends styling elements of the Hyundai Veracruz with Kia's own Optima. Among the key styling features are bold angular front headlights, large air intakes with fog lights, rearview mirrors with integrated LED turn signals, and a large panorama glass roof that covers the first and second row of seats. Although the pictures don't provide too much information about the crossover's interior, we should expect the new model to boast vastly improved materials as well as a more luxurious design.

Thankfully beauty is more than skin deep so Kia decided to ditch the current model's truck inspired body-on-frame chassis in favor of a more modern unibody architecture which should pay huge dividends in terms of performance and handling as well as safety. Under the newly redesigned hood, a variety of engines will be offered including a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and a 270+ horsepower 3.8-liter V6. Diesel power will come from a new 2.2-liter engine that will feature 200 horsepower and returns 33 mpg.
