The FX is fugly. The X6 is different but intriguing at the same time. This looks like an X6 replica from behind. Seeing as how it's acura, it makes sense. Fugly cars

There's a new "who builds the most utterly meaningless vehicle" contest! BMW is on top with the X6 and the upcoming 5 series GT, but can the asians compete!?
Well know more when this hideously deformed vehicle reaches the end user market!

Wow. if i were in the car industry i wuldnt want to make something that would forever be a copy...

NO, NO, NO, please its disgusting to see this crap & competing with another crap.

hmmmm, interesting. are Acura and BMW even in the same league?? The X6 is ok becuase that is the original but now it is just going to get sad. I would probably take an X6 over this though...

HOW CAN YOU PEOPLE TELL??? All you see in the photo is the blurry behind of a camouflaged vehicle, a photo from a cell phone 1MP camera. The X6 is not original either, as Infiniti got it first. Out of the three, I would pick the FX. I don't like the styling direction of the current BMWs and Acuras. Also, I think BMW is late to the game with their plans of all these crossovers (X1, V5, 5 Series GT, etc.). Meaningless.

The BMW X6 is actually a stunning looking car. Have you guys that are slaughtering it - actually seen it in person?
When I first seen photos of it, I thought it was damn right ugly, but when I seen it on the road, I fell in love at how big and perfectly styled it was.

the X6 is not the first of its kind. pontiac did it years ago with the aztek. the X6 also is not that stunning to look at in person, actually, it's still pretty damn ugly. i used to love bmw but their design language as of lately scares me.

Hahahahaha, on the guys thinking the X6 is beautiful!!! I guess looks are in the eyes of the beholder. Just get the X5 and be done with it.

Nobody would be making cars like this if it weren't for the Mercedes-Benz CLS. Except M-B did it right by using the "4-door coupe" concept in a car, not an SUV.
I would pay $1000 to anyone who could prove to me that the X6 is selling well. The FX is a different animal as it costs around $40-$45k. the X6 is a $60-$65k "SUV" with less interior space than a 5-series. I live in Downtown Dallas, TX and have only seen 2 X6's on the road since they came out. Of course, I see tons of X5's, CLS's, FX's, etc.
I think Honda is one of the greatest car companies in the world, but their Acura division is a sad imitation of a luxury car, just like Lexus and Infiniti. So please everyone keep buying Japanese luxury cars and continue to pay double for an Accord, a Camry, and a Maxima. I would estimate that 75% of the Japanese luxury cars are based on those 3 platforms.
Was that a tangent or what?

Dude, Nissan uses in the U.S. only two types of platforms, so the use of common platforms means reducing costs, without costs reducing half of the companies on the market would be out long time ago.
