Theres a crap advert in the uk where people keep asking the owner of a renault megane "is that your car" Very badly made.

Having driven both cars, the Renault will destroy the Scirocco for all out driving pleasure. RS Renault Meganes and Clio's are known as very good hardcore driving cars for people on a budget, The R26 would absolutely destroy the Scirocco. Having owned 3 Clio RS from the 172 to the 197 I can honestly say they are probably the most fun cars I have ever driven. In comparison the MK V Golf GTi I owned afterwards seemed a tad dull, I would loive to get one on the track , the chassis is outstanding!!

Yes but when you come to buy parts from the dealer renault are twice as much. And ive had a clio 16v yes it was fast but it felt very cheap and cheerful , i wouldnt buy another renault ever again.

agreed, I would never buy one again due to the shoddy build quality ;o)) They have gotten a lot better though, the 197 was fairly well built

ahahhah .... What on EARTH are you germanfanbois, on about.... first of all the renault sport CARS are 2 times more affordable. Second...a scirooco sciroocoo sciiiroocoooooooo..yada yada yada.....it has 197 bhp. er....clio here I come....clio would hate to say it EAT it alive in corners....a clio??? a cliooo? yes a car not even in its segment. Never mind an RS megane. Go do some real digging up before you compare rubish...drivers republic. The hardcore enthusiasist no bullhsit approach they will tell you everything.... for the money Renault RS is a NO BRAIN buy really....get the scirocco if you want to impress the hairdresser of the hairdresser etc. so sick of that lame reasoning....if you are going to judge a car on marketing an advertising quality......errrr I rest my case...

197 a hardcore driver's car? I drove one a while ago, didn't find it that hardcore, quite a soft ride and fairly unresponsive, soft steering and pedals. Not bad though, just my opinion.

soft ride comapred to what? honda type r kidney destroyer? I want to USE the car aroudn town etc....its not soft its JUST right...."unresponsive" is a first. Tiff, Drivers republic, Clarckson all rate it......once again stop the fibbery.

Money or not, being driven both, anybody if honest can admit that driving and owning Renault sports cars is much more funny thing than defaulting to VW-s.

Megane III looks like a mixed breed of seat leon cupra and astra gtc. Of course combined with traditionally awful interior design. Who cares about other things, it's renault after all.

yes it looks like dacia logan made a certain impact on interior design

What a comment with no idea on such things like a meaning of time order of apparition. And Audi's A7 concept revealed after the Megane III has nearby same interior lauout and even quit same shape of dec. inlays.

I really just say how it really looks, I checked A7 concept, but this renault doesn't look at all any similar to renault, I would say renault got an influence from dacia models.

What a comment again! Just say it - "Renault got evreything they have from others. Thanks to Dacia and Lada they have some shabby clue how to build cars if at all".
