Thats good, it shows that going green doesnt cost alot of green. Plus now Toyota cant charge whatever they want for their (fugly) Prius becuase they have to compete with this.

WTF ? The series II Prius already has a range of 1000km's on 1 tank full and is sure to double the Honda's range when the series III is released. When the Honda was being Tested in the Desert, every motoring Publication thought they were actually seeing the New Prius so by saying Prius is Fugly you are also critisizing the Insight cause they look the same. (Even GM's Volt looks Unique) Maybe Honda should compete with Xerox as they seem to be very good Copyers!

Spy photos usually have some camophlage. There are similarities in the overall shape. (We may go through a phase like the early 90's when auto manufacturers were using wind tunnels and cars had an amorphous similarity.) IMO, the proportions are better on the Insight than the Prius (II or III).

Despite the range i'd still rather buy this than the prius. It'll take a number of years for extra expenditure (service, fuel) to break even with the prius. And because it has a smaller petrol engine, it seems better suited to the city (which is where most people live) because you can only go so fast before the law says your exceeding the speed limit.

Still most people forget that Honda had this outer shape design first, with the 1st version Insight. So if they copied, then only from themselves. I prefer the Honda headlamp + grille design compared to the Toyota's. As well as the simpler tech and low weight. Shame it's got a torsion beam though.
