Worldwide sales of the Kia Soul commence about a month from now. So now the marketing machine has begun rolling in order for Kia to promote its smallest SUV/crossover and hence the videos that you see in this space.
Nothing particularly spectacular is shown; mostly public road driving footage appears and close-up interior shots compliment that. A lot of the shots are taken in an urban/ city setting which is probably where the majority of Soul buyers will come from.
The Soul is a production version of the Soul Concept trio which was released at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. Standing at 1.6 metres tall, 1.79 metres wide and 4.11 metres long the Soul is compact in every way.
Even the engines fitted whisper "small". Three options are available under the bonnet; a 1.6-litre petrol, a 2.0-litre petrol and a 1.6-litre turbo diesel. The US gets only the 2.0-litre petrol with either 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.
