my guess is that it will probably be very boring. the only exciting thing about this car will be the suicide doors if they even get into production. My grandparents have the current generation and they love it. Their past 3 cars have been Merivas so i guess that there must be something good in all the boring.

Anyway... compared to the present one it looks much better with its new design features taken from the Insignia and Corsa, features that surely will be found on the future Astra! You're right about the market niche of buyers: surely we'll not see too many young customers, but that's nothing to worry about for Opel! Now they have more urgent matters on their minds... who knows if we'll ever see anything from Opel in just a few weeks or months... considering the possible collapse... and for me as a current Astra GTC owner it is kind of worrying regarding the warranties a.s.o
