VERY disappointing. Leaping on a bandwagon long after the wheels have come off and so attrociously conspicuous and downright ugly too. Vulgar in almost every sense.

more like a saab badge. and the past lagondas werent very pretty to look at either so this is no exception.

I wish it could be a joke, but I guess it isn't :( The worst Aston ever seen by my eyes.

that is an utter disaster, ghastly.
how on earth can they go from one-77 to this.
hope they bang there head on this until they realise how crap this really is.

They've tried to create a modern interpretation of a pre WWII model and... god... they've got it all wrong in any possible way... combining a pre-war car design and a boat??? resulting what? a coat? nothing good... that's for sure! A car with absolutely no identity! That's bad for such a company

This is not an Aston. It doesn't look like one at all. Aston must get Ian Callum back!

Damn right, it's NOT Aston Martin. It's LAGONDA. (witch is owned by A-M)
BMW owns Rolls Royce. Rolls Royce isn't BMW, Right? Same thing here.

A serious insult to the Lagonda name ... why oh why would AM even think of creating such a bad concept ... a US style, oversized overweight SUV design is totally incompatible with the Lagonda luxury saloon image.

Haha, we had nothing to do with this disaster! This is the British at their best, live with it.
I loved the hesitation with the clapping. I bet they all looked at each other, like, WTF is that....
Come to America, we'll show you how to build a monstrous good looking luxury SUV like the Cadillac Escalade! They run on E85 and get decent gas mileage. They are the most comfortable ride for those cross the desert jaunts from Los Angeles to Las Wages er, Vegas! ;-)

...what sins have we commited, to see something like this from aston martin?
March 4, 2009 9:28 am
Im more interested in the car on the background picture in photos 4 and 5... what is it?
March 4, 2009 9:32 am
I suppose it's the original Lagonda. The new one is the ugliest thing from AM I've ever seen. Sure, it looks different from the rest of the AM models (which all look exactly the same), but it is horrible!
March 4, 2009 10:02 am
What the F...! No way! I say NO! it's eavy, ugly, and not eaven creative! Come on! You're not Porsche! you don't need a insain SUV! Marek Reichman! Get OUT! Chris Bangle??? would you be interested to come save Aston, before it would be to late!
March 4, 2009 9:55 am
Hehe, the crowd didn't know whether to applaud or not :D And the men unveiling it look a little embarrassed! Haha :D
March 4, 2009 10:05 am
LOL. If that is all they can come up with aston should just continue to 'redesign' the DB9 with new badges, at least that looks good.
March 4, 2009 10:47 am
OMG! Is this an Aston? The front part reminds me to some Chrysler and the rear part to some mix between Bentley Continental GT and Alfa GT. This car is not an Aston Martin. Sorry.
March 4, 2009 11:10 am
Aston have well and truly shot themselves in the foot with this one. Looks like Chrysler, Alfa Romeo, Skoda and Land Rover had some kind of wild orgy and spat out the Lagonda. Truly horrific, and I'd like to see it burn in hell
March 4, 2009 11:25 am
I'm sorry Dr. Bez. This isn't it.
You should be very carefull in reviving the great Lagonda brand; and in times of crisis like this, the 'new' Lagonda should be absolutely flawless, wich this ...thing... isn't.
March 4, 2009 11:26 am
it's hereditary looks are still from Aston. It just looks like they got the rapide and kinda stretched it vertically.
see? this is the problem. Aston has only got ONE look. ONE design. That design is fantastic when it manifests itself as a 2 door sports coupe...but when it tries to be something big and clunky... it just looks like a piece of crap.
March 4, 2009 12:16 pm
It looks like a Mitsubishi Evo X & I actually like those wheels, but thats a one butt ugly vehicle.
March 4, 2009 12:21 pm
seen enough of this, hopefully I never ever get to see it again... thank you Lagonda.
