Land Rover debut two new models on their stand this week at the Geneva Motor Show: the Range Rover 'Westminster' Limited Edition and the 2010 model year Freelander 2.
The Range Rover TDV8 limited edition will see just 300 examples made, entering UK Land Rover dealerships from March. Upgrades for the 'Westminster' limited edition model include 20-inch Diamond Turned wheels, an exterior design package, 'Westminster' tailgate branding and stainless steel accents to foot pedals.
Available in either Santorini Black or Stornoway Grey and with Ivory/Jet or Jet/Jet interior styling, it's ultimately the exclusive Marina Black limited edition paint job for the serious punters. 'Westminster'-badged examples start from £62,995 or, in Marina Black, from £63,995.
Also introduced on the stand is Land Rover's reworked Freelander 2 for the 2010 model year. Principally featuring new stop/start technology now standard on all manual TD4_e diesel models, the Freelander 2 TD4 range boasts fuel efficiency of 42.2 mpg on the combined cycle and emissions of 179g/km of CO2.
In addition to a standard spec that includes remote locking, seven airbags, auxiliary audio jack, Roll Stability Control (RSC) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), changes in 'GS' and 'XS' trim levels add a hands-free Personal Telephone Integration (PTI) Bluetooth® system, Alpine In-Car Entertainment (ICE) and heated front seats. Updated 'Bali Blue' and 'Ipanema Sand' paint jobs replace outgoing paints, while a new Storm Grey interior scheme is now specifiable.
Prices start from £21,295 for the entry-level TD4_e 'S', inclusive of 16-inch alloy wheels, cloth seats, air con and single CD/six speaker system.
