I would wait and see what BMW comes with regarding their 3 Series GT:))))))))))))))))))))))))))) AWAITING WITH GREAT ANTICIPATION. Merc's GLK is also a very good option, and X3 - which is the most reliable car in the world!

I must admit that I fully agree with you. This car look awful! Not only is it out of proportion, the black pastics make the car look incredibly cheap. Interior is as usual, bland and boring from Audi. From past experiences, driving is not up to standard eitehr. It looks to me like they just build another one of these add on models for the sake of another model to sell to the public at minimal marginal costs of making or developing it. A contrast to the philosophy of the likes of BMW, where each car is made for a purpose and has its own soul and character- well, that's my opnion. But based on what I see, I might as well flush this one down the toilet....as for driving it, I'd have to wait till it gets here, but I suspect that it's not going to be impressive from what I know about Audi.
On the subject of Quattro, I don't know if anyone has done comparisons. When you think of all wheel drive from the premium segment, you think Quattro...but recently, I found that BMW's xDrive is much more advanced than Quattro, Quattro has basically not changed from about 30 years ago!!! except for some minor torque shifts between front and rear recently. BMW's xDrive can shift anywhere within the 4 wheel parameters independently and has complex electronics governing when and how it shifts. Don't know if anyone can tell me more.
