A little less camouflage goes a long way. Such a spirit is evident from these spy pictures of the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate which show almost no black covers. The E-Class Estate has always been one of the longest vehicles if not the longest in its class. From these images it appears to have kept the lead. It will also be wider than the current Estate and have a longer wheel base for more passenger space.

Some of the details spotted are LED rear lights and a roof rack that puts home the point of the car's versatility. As with the E-Class sedan the Estate will feature the latest technologies available at Mercedes-Benz. These include a new improved AIRMATIC suspension system, BlueEfficiency, Night View Assist and Lane Keeping Assist.

Powerplants will to a large extent mirror those in the sedan. Therefore expect to see badges with E 200 CGI, E 250 CGI and E 350 CGI among others on the car. In keeping with past tradition a 386kW (525hp) AMG model will be available to buyers who are not satisfied with mere interior space.

Suggestions are that the 2010 E-Class Estate will be shown for the first time in public at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

They stripped away the camo and beheld an old Chrysler Pacifica.
