Alex Wurz is staying calm amid raging speculation the team currently known as Honda will survive to contest 2009.
The F1 veteran confirmed to sportnet.at that he remains "under contract as spare and development driver" with the Brackley based squad, whose future has been clouded since owner Honda Motor Co. announced it is withdrawing from the sport.
According to the latest strong rumours, however, the team has been taken over by a group of existing management, with the new guise 'Brawn Racing' or 'Brackley F1' possibly to be announced officially on Thursday.
Also on Thursday, it is rumoured the new Mercedes-Benz powered car - formerly to be titled the RA109 - will be shaken down at Silverstone, ahead of a single full pre-season test in Spain prior to Melbourne.
"I will believe it only when official confirmation comes from Japan," Wurz said. "With the Japanese, everything can move very fast."
