You're right, it's a Skoda. Meaning that finally it's a VW. I don't know what underpinnigs it has, but I presume they are from Golf Mk5 (taking into account its exterior dimensions and its 4x4 capabilities). VW didn't have a SUV smaller than Tiguan. Now they have one and it's called Skoda Yeti.

A cute little SUV packing some serious space, fuel sipping engines and lots of brand identity. I like it.
Though the design actually looks like something cool from back then in 2004.

A roomster with some visual changes and called Yeti, sounds great...*eye role*

It is VERY conservatively styled. Buying a 4x4 for most people is a style choice. This looks like a Honda CRV from two generations ago.

As far as I remember, Skoda Yeti concept was introduced in Geneva 2005. The production model seems to have the same lines as the concept, but it is much longer: +15 inches (or 38 cm). Anyway, great choice of engines for such a small SUV. The 1.2 is not FSI, but TSI.

I ALSO THINK IS VERY CONSERVATIVELY DESIGNED.THERE WAS NO REASON TO CHANGE THE PROTOTYPES ROBUST LINES. IT HAS LOST THE SUV FORM. IS MORE LIKE HIGH STATION WAGON OR SOMETHING.SAME STYLE AS RENAULT KANGOO 4X4.PITY...

Hi
The Yeti looks great in silver. The styling is very apppealing and the luggage capacity of 1760 litres.
Is there a fuel consumption stat there?
When are they arriving in New Zealand?
