Hints at a green hot rod of the future

VizualTech's Bo Zolland has created a 3D rendering of his proposed Delithium Concept which hints at what a future green hot rod could look like. The concept receives its odd name by combining the two words delirium and lithium, to create delithium, a perfect moniker for the concept since it's a visual shocker that runs on lithium ion batteries.

The beautiful exterior blends classic hot rod design with a modern flair to create one truly interesting design exercise. Among the many styling features are semi-functional exhaust tips, a low wraparound windscreen, concave scallop body sides, 18" front and 20" rear wheels, as well as a retro inspired tail.

The imaginary power source for the Delithium Concept is an electric motor that produces 290kW (389 hp) and 373 lb.-ft. (470 Nm) of torque. Performance figures for this radical roadster include a 0-60 mph time of just 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 280 km/h (174 mph). Thanks to the aforementioned lithium batteries packs, the concept would be able to travel up to 50 miles on electricity alone.

Despite being just a dream, the proposed concept comes nicely equipped with a seven-speed flappy-paddle gearbox, a premium leather interior, digital displays to provide information regarding the car's electric-drive system, and usual amenities such as air conditioning and traction control.

Well, I don't knnow what it is with people by taking ideas from other designers and calling it their own, this is obvious influenced by the Chip foose hot rod that he designed a year or so back, apart from the rear and being a roadster, so no matter how green this car is, it get a thumbs down.
