If the team had folded 700 people would have lost jobs with no guarantees there would be enough money to go round to pay everyone more than the statutory amount. As it is, 400 people retain their employment. Surely a better result.

when was the last time he won a race? just like coulthard , poodles round and gets paid for not even trying.

Well, if thats you definition of a successful driver then perhaps your f1 grid would have only 4 or 5 drivers worthy of driving. Give him a chance, sometimes it is not the driver but the car.... Actually most of the time bar the legends of yester years. Then again in those days the level of competition focus on the drivers was far greater. With the current... erm wait...last season ... crop of f1 cars you could be the best driver in the world and still lose with a crappy car.

Well he can't get a job anywhere else, I somehow doubt there will be an F1 season by 2011.

if the new aerodynamic package shows more promising results for overtaking then there is hope. probably the cost of running an f1 team is going to come down drastically as each team will cut down their R&D, wages cut, less workers etc.
i for one watch the sport for what it is, the driving, overtaking or no overtaking i am entertained.
