Another round of spy photos of the car that will return the DS name to the Citroen lineup has surfaced, as a heavily camouflaged DS3 snapped while testing in the snow. The vehicle's silhouette is effectively obscured, but the wheels and taillight peeking through the wraps are unmistakably those of the "official" DS3 images that were recently revealed.
This car appears to be the three-door DS3, which will be Citroen's sporty compact MINI-fighter. A five-door model will also be available when the car debuts later this year as a 2010 model. Gas, diesel and hybrid powerplants are expected, though no details have been released yet. Both cars are scheduled to be unveiled in production form in Geneva next month.
The DS3 will sell alongside the current Citroens as the first product of the company's comprehensive rebranding. As announced earlier this year, Citroen has a new logo and will be taking a more exclusive, upscale direction. The DS3 models will be followed by DS4 and DS5 cars, based on the Hypnos concept.
