Hahaha, see the funny thing is.....it's not owned by Ford anymore.

Yeah, but as u know it takes 3-4 years to develop a car, probably longer 4 Tata, so JLR is still working on Ford projects.

What Have They Done!?! I hope they don't do the same thing to the Range Rover Sport.

"They" have done nothing. It has nothing to do with Land Rover. Does no one read text on this site?
I can't imagine Land Rover would style a vehicle getting ever closer to ?100K after the entry level model.

bristol411s3, thank you for being one of the few intelligent users.

A nice rendering, if a bit evolutionary. In response to the posts above, why do you infer that previous Ford ownership or current Indian (Tata) ownership affects the style of this or any Land Rover? Land Rovers are and always have been designed in the UK by Land Rover designers.

It wont look like this becuase it isnt classy enough to be a top of the range Range Rover

What a coincidence, I also visually rendered my own speculation of the next generation Range Rover. It is just as off-road capable as the current version, but at the touch of a button it can lower 200mm and handles like a normal sedan. To be more fuel economic, it is made entirely of titanium and carbon fiber, but still costs the same as the outgoing model. It will run either on hydrogen fuel cells or a form of liquefied narcissism that Land Rover drivers have in abundance. And it also looks like a Ford Flex.

Did no one read the fact that this is one artist rendering and not from Land Rover? The Land Rover is not going to use the same wheel as the LR2 for their flagship car. Also the hood does not follow the current Range Rover design that has existed since the 1st generation Range Rover from the '70s. Pay attention before commenting.

Ladies Ford sold Land Rover to the Indians so please stop saying it looks like a Ford cause this isnt even drawn up by Range Rover, but the artist made it too round in the front rr have boxy fronts my sport is very boxy well not like my h2 cause its got class n style but its still boxy lookin. Anyway cant wait to see what they do with the big Range when they let out the face lift :).

I like the LRX headlamps more. Those are too big. Anyway this would rather fit as a 5 door Freelander replacement.

sorry to say, but Noone is going to buy Land and Range Rovers, Or jags anymore... think about the target market, they're people who like England, snobby, i know quite a few myself.. They're just not going to accept a Tata Rover

lols, premiership footballers wives won't know that :p
in any case, I quite like the LRX design. Sure it doesn't look as 'rugged' and 'i can take on the world' as land rovers of the old but hey, you don't get todays ferraris and lamborghini's looking like the daytonas and miuras right?
So apart from the wheelbase being a bit too long (though that could be the artist's bad photochopping) and the price creeping ever closer to the price of a full blown supercar, I think this whole design just works.

You know what? Even being a young male, I LOVE some british flair myself. England might not be that much of a trendsetter as, say, Italy or Spain. But there will always be space for some old world charm and old money traditions.
And, living in a global economy, british flair could come from any given country. Minis, Bentleys and Rolls are all 'german'... so what's wrong with Jags being 'indian'?

This curry burner certainly looks better than the current incarnation which always reminds me of a greenhouse on wheels, an ugly, heavy,i'll handling thing with no class whatsoever. Maybe with the Tata ownership the 'Vogue'versions will now most probably be replaced with a 'Korma', 'RoganJosh' or 'Vindaloo' version, depending on spec...
