When driving a luxury vehicle, in particular a sports model, you just can't go around wearing a T-shirt and an old pair of jeans. At least, Porsche doesn't believe you are looking the part if you do.

So the luxury sports model maker has a solution here that will "complete" its customers look as they are posed and poised inside one of its vehicles. Porsche Design Driver's Selection has released a line of clothing appropriate for the sporty sorties one will be making in a 911, as the line of clothing is called "911 To The Core."

For men, its offerings include a waterproof windbreaker jacket called Comfort Mapping in an "elegant" black. The complete outfit also includes a polo shirt with a Porsche badge on the breast pocket, a sleek black shirt, a key strap and a cap are also part of the collection.

For the ladies the shirts also comes in purple and the polo shirt with contrasting buttons and "Porsche print on the back". The line also offers a T-shirt for children and a romper suit for the tiniest of Porsche fans, including anti-slip 911 print on the soles of the feet.

The clothing line is available at your local Porsche dealer and on the Internet at www.porsche.com/shop.

Porschephiles are well aware of this. Porsche has always held loyalty as a core value. That is, design-wise, a porsche always looked like a porsche and always will, any porsche whether designed fifty years ago or fifty years from now will always be instantly recognized as a porsche. As for mechanical design, the same holds true, the 911 has been in the lineup for 40 years and will be for forty more, always bringing the traits that make it such a special car, i.e. a rear-engined sports car powered by a horizontaly opposed six cylinder boxer.

Thank god for porsche and loyalty, this gracefuly evolved, timeless sports car has been with us for so long and owning one is more than just owning a hunk of metal and bolts, it's owning a peice of that history.
