Wonder why Aston has suddenly lost all its taste with its Rims...First the Vantage V12...and now this.
The design is great, but the colour ruins it all

Stunning!
I really like what both AM and Audi are designing these days

I totally agree ... Aston Martin DBS and DB9 are both stunningly beautiful pieces of automotive artwork while Audi present classic style with class at the more affordable level of the food chain.

Well, it does look like a Jag XKR with facelifted front and rear-end. But it's ok overall.

Same designer. The Aston came first as the DB9 in 2004, the XK in 2006. The DBS is a more extreme DB9.

The only thing is the name. I think that DB9-S is more honest than DBS. The car itself, however, is absolutely stunning in every way possible.

Yes, but will it snap in half when you push it hard around a corner?

Looks absolutely stunning, but that V12 really is rather limp.. 6.0L V12 with 510/570? It'd be an amazing car if the Germans gave them a proper V12. As it is, it'll remain a very good car only ;)

but the V12 is under powered,
Jag managed 510HP out of a 5.0 V8
Aston managed 510HP out of a 6.0 V12

Beautiful, absolutely stunning!
But did they strengthen the chassis?
Cause the DB9 Volante is quite soft
February 25, 2009 8:25 am
It does not have a supercharger. Unsupercharged the 5.0 V8 has 77PS/L and the 6.0 V12 has 87.1PS/L

it look like convertable fisker karma wait! the fisker karma is looking like it
February 25, 2009 1:41 pm
gorgeous but pointless. if i wanted a convertible Aston i'd just go for the DB9. i don't see the point in making the car faster by dropping weight and upping power, just to ruin the aerodynamics and have the chassis stiffened, putting the weight up again. it makes no sense. DBS should be hard top only!

Fully agree with you mate. This is like that stupid Ferrari Scuderia 16M Spider thing. Utterly and completely pointless. Another thing, I believe the DBS coupe doesn't have rear seats. Why the hell does this thing have them?

Astons are showoff cars, especially the flagships. Makes sense if you think about it that way...
