Here are some more sneak peeks at the upcoming Audi TT RS which is slated for its official unveiling at the Geneva auto show next month.

Notice the brake calipers with the RS badge on them? Yes, they've beef up the braking system but, more importantly, its a sign that Audi means business by slapping an RS tag even there.

The TT RS hearkens back to the brash, daring Audi's of the 1980s with a 5-cylinder engine providing the boogie for this top-of-the-line sports version of the TT.

Available in both coupe and cabriolet body styles, the TT RS will come with a turbocharged 2.5 liter, 5-banger churning out 340 hp (253kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox manages the transfer of power to the all-wheel drive system. 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) comes in at around 5 seconds, with top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).

Distinguishing the TT RS on the outside (besides the badge, of course) over the 272 hp TT S model are the larger front air vents, twin-spoked alloy wheels, a fixed wing at the back and a new rear diffuser.

The TT RS will come with LED daytime running lights to accompany the bi-xenon headlights and on the inside there's an RS cabin package with Alcantara and leather sports seats, a sports steering wheel with lots of functionality and an RS badge smack in the middle of the central console that let's everyone know what exactly you're driving.

Unless you're in the US, in which case, you won't, as of yet, get a chance to own one of these as Audi hasn't green-lighted the TT RS for the North American market.

The TT RS will be rolled out in markets across Europe in the weeks after its Geneva premier.

I know the TT is a woman's car...USUALLY, i can honestly claim i would not be ashamed to drive the coupe in Glau Orange with black leather and orange stitching. 2.5L 5 banger turbo with audi technology should be good for around 400hp with less than 1500$ in mods straight out of the box. Either the orange or white, i must say that brillian audi white is growing on me, especially with amaretto leather...mmm mmm goood

Oh well, I thought that the TT is the favourite choice of young and greedy german estate agents. And honestly: I see more guys driving around in a TT than women. But this is just my impression.

Actiually, more women drive it than men. You can see from the turtle shape that it is a woman's car. This is clearly not a sports car. From what I see here in the UK, most husbands buy their wives the TT and the husband normally drives an E class, 5 Series or even 3 Series. It's interesting that most men in this sector drives the Z4 - which is afterall, regarded more highly than the TT

What happened to the TT Speedster that was due to go into production earlier this year?

Now this should have a longitudinally mounted engine with a real 4WD and it would be somehow interesting, from the specs. Still looks like a hamster with full cheeks...

An RS that only does 5 seconds... I was hoping the figures would blow the SLK55 out of the water. Guess not

In the press release it states "The sprint from zero to 100 km / h is a matter of significantly less than five seconds" and judging by tests of the TTS which hasa claimed manufaturers 0-100km/h of 5.2s, I would expect the TT-RS with 70 extra hp to be hitting 60mph in 4.5s or less.

It's amazing how in today's worl, people still care about the 0-100 sprint. I'd be more concerned about fuel efficiency and efficient techno.

A good thing just got better! This is the perfect TT! But the price should be it's weak side..

Yes. I'm interested as to see what a base TTRS would cost.

Love what they're doing with that wheel design, not the RS4's but the 5 spoke with outer matt silver running into the anthracite spokes themselves. Class.

'Distinguishing the TT RS on the outside (besides the badge, of course) over the 272 hp TT S model are the larger front air vents, twin-spoked alloy wheels, a fixed wing at the back and a new rear diffuser.'

I see on the 5 spoke (silver, anthracite) the 'RS' label on the caliper.
