7-speed? BMW announced it was sourcing an 8-speed ZF units, more likely that instead.

Ok, it's nice. BMW review mirror. It's basically a cooler looking Phantom.

I want to dislike this for some reason, but I can't. Looks great!

The drophead & coupe is much more beautiful than this! i'm really sad for saying this but it's the ugliest RR i've ever seen! the interior design slightly remembers me of a Genisis! i'll rather go for a Bentley Continental than buying this!

Its overall pretty nice...not as flashy nor as huuuge as the Phantom...I think its a good move by RR, many people that DRIVE their own cars will buy it...I would never buy a Phantom even if i had the cash for one reason: getting out of the drivers seat u look a) as a douche that cant afford a driver or b) as a hired driver

Hahah i never actually thought about that...youre kinda right i guess. But i wouldnt bother if i really owned one:)

i like this car... previously i could never convince myself that you'd need any more of a car than an S-Class but i could be persuaded that this is a good idea

The rear door handles should've been to the rear edge of the doors, conventional style. It's not for the owner to sit back

The exterior looks great, really RR-ish. I´m just not sure about the interior in both this and the Phantom. I think Bentley makes nicer interiors. But anyways, I would definitely buy this over the Flying Spur. The best solution for me would be the exterior of the RR with the interior of the Flying Spur.

And why is that...I dont see a reason why you would prefer a Phantom infront of a F.Spur.Only the exterior is bit more original

I-drive for a Rolls? I cant wait to see salespeople trying to explain that one at delivery. Better block out 4 three-hour sessions!

The iDrive is actually really, really easy to use. If you can use a PC you can use iDrive. One thing I didn't think of, though -- I'm ambidextrous, so using the iDrive knob is no problem for me, but most of the right-hand-drive population is right handed, so they can't coordinate it with their left hand; I think that's the source of most people's problem with it being "difficult to use". =)
And, even though it's a cheap(er) RR, still looks good! =)

you make it sound like you're being asked to do major surgery with your weak hand... what'll be more important is if it's programmed properly like the COMAND system in the S-Class or if it's only designed to work properly in LHD markets like the MMI in the A6 (which only twists one way, and it's counterintuitive if you're twisting it AWAY from yourself)

The Phantom is already fitted with iDrive. The knob is normally hidden by a panel - you see it only when you use it.

The Phantom looks ok, but a little too big. The slimmer "200EX" looks much better.

I have honestly never really been a big fan of R-R in the past. They just never really captured me for some reason. This one however, seems really COOL to me. Maybe it is the less gigantic size and slightly more modest presence. Just seems more tasteful and tailored. It also seems graceful as usual but not so old man-ish. I'd really have to think about this one if I had the $$$.

It looks too much like the Phantom series - differentiable only on size I suppose. What then is the point? If you're a footballer/filmstar whose just bought a Phantom and all the kids on the street look at you and can't tell you've spent 200,000 euro more, it's failed as a status symbol. This car has no separate identity. The Continental range (GT, Spur, GTC) of Bentley have a distinctly different identity from the Arnage (+Azure, Brooklands) range of cars. Seperates the flash, nu-money from the class. This doesn't look like it can happen with Rolls.
