If GM sold hummers for 50% off the sticker, at least they could move them off the lots. I still do not see why they could not make a clean diesel hybrid version that probably could develop 30mpgs.

I own a 2003 first gen H2 n have owned it since new, Ive been waiting for HUMMER to make a diesel for the past 5 years years and yet nothing. I love the car I love the brand and apart from my 06 M5 that gets 7mpgs, well its always in M-mode I really cant believe how much gas this thing chugs I get gas every other day at well now its 60 bucks a day but it was at 120. So pt being great big car lots of room great offroading capabilities (of course with the right tires, goodyear mud terrain) but its got so many mechanical problems and just small issues up keeping is expensive about on average 500-800 a month plus all the gas I put into it, GM it be great if maybe u would keep the brand make it a little more solid and make a diesel for christ sake and I think u may have something nice.

Hummer has an pretty good image (like the whole rugged outdoor thing) it could still sell just based on the image, but its not what GM needs right now. i'm sure a private equity group could make good money with hummer.
