Keep in mind that the first half of 2008 wasn't "feeling" the harsh effects of the crisis yet. The economy was actually relatively prosperous. Most of these "record" sales were from the first fiscal half of 2008.
I bet if you compared Q-3&4 of 2008 to 2007, it wouldn't even compare...

i remember reading somewhere that several Ferrari dealerships were having problems with customers asking for refunds on deposits for the California. i have a strong feeling that Ferrari's going to be hit hard very soon as a result
