why dont they offer it on the E55? with all that protection i'd also want some power.

that's not QUITE true. the E550 is the E500 in europe. i'm guessing trinity is referring to the AMG model, the E63. anyways, considering this probably weighs slightly more than the country that the occupant runs, i wonder how slow it'd be with the 350 engine lol. best stick with the diesel or the E500...

Not quite. We haven't had an E55 for a few years. The E550 is the non-AMG V8 model in the US. The E63 is the AMG. That zero means a little something to some of us.

IT'S AMAZING HOW EVERYONE IS COPYING BMW'S ROLLS ROYCE WITH ITS LED HEADLIGHTS, FIRST AUDI, THEN ASTON, PORSCHE AND NOW MERC. oops sorry for the caps

That's a good point -- was the Phantom the first widely-known production car to bear LED headlights? Or was there something before it?

BMW's Phantom was the first. Roll's one is in a classy crystal blue colour in a shape of a rectangle.

i don't think this is quite right. the first car to use LED drl's was audi in its a8 w12 released in 2005. the rolls royce didn't use the LED headlights until the production of the phantom drophead in 2007. the first production car to use LED headlights was lexus in its ls600h that was introduced in 2006. though the rolls 100ex concept had the LED lights, this car was a concept, and many concepts before it had LED headlights

PISMEOV: Your facts are incorrect.
First LED light used in production vehicle:
BMW M3 E46 - Tail-light 2002
First LED headlight used in production vehicle:
BMW's Rolls Royce Phantom 2003

WRONG WRONG WRONG first LED light used in production vehicles
first LED tail lights: cadillac deville/w220 mercedes s-class. 2000
first LED low beam headlights: lexus ls600hl 2006
first LED DRL: audi a8 w12 2005
the phantom sedan DOES NOT use LED headlights. only the two-door versions do. the sedan maintains the use of halogen/xenon combination

you can see the halogen retcangles right there. as you can see, it's quite different from the phantom coupe/convertible's:

go research this and you'll find it true
