The looks are purposeful for drag racing. It might be ugly but when you consider why it looks as is, it isn't.

Wonder if it has the technology to get the power to the ground and beat the GT-R

A Saleen Mustang could with enough tuning, but this car is optimized for Drag Racing. It has great suspension but again, theset-up and allowable tuning is made for drag racing or Ovals.

Completely ridiculous and pointless. But awesome in its own way. Shame it'll never be a real track performer, but I guess that's not the point of a drag racer.

Its not pointless, if you wish to take your car and use it for true drag racing competition, this is a great start especially if you're looking for bracket racing with similar set up cars.
This is a perfect car especially for somebody who has a GT500 and wants to do a competition like Pinks ALL-OUT.

AWESOME. I like it, especially since its street legal and ready for action. A very good package.

For that amount of money, there are many other great cars. They may not be as fast but they are way more exclusive vs a mustane with a big hood scoop.

But they aren't suited for Drag Racing like this. Don't forget, us North Americans love some good old drag strip action.

100k! Dam I think that's sort of steep. And that's excluding the car itself.

Ya, just a car from a Company that has dominated race championships all around the world. Ignorance at its finest ladies and gentleman.

Ofcourse Mercedes, Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, Audi have the best track records in autosport racing

Who cares, Ford has 4 Victories at Le Mans alone, when they only raced there about 5 years. Im not saying Ford is better than them but they have proven themselves and "Just another Ford" is totally unfair.
Thats not to mention alot of Rally victories too.

one must then ask themselves why they raced at le mans only five years?
February 8, 2009 6:27 am
They set out to get back at Ferrari for what they deemed disrespectful rejection in Fords proposed buying of them(Ferrari). They won 4 years, demolishing the Ferrari race cars in those races, but not just at Le Mans, also at other international races. By 1970, their mission was done, they smacked Ferrari upside their head, beat them at their own game and given the costs of racing even back then, decided we'll go out with a bang, we'll go out on top. I already know why.

The only Mustang i'd ever buy would be the standard GT. That's good enough for its price point, looks good, drives decently... I just don't get all these versions and special editions. If I can afford better performance, I can buy a better car. Simple as that.
February 8, 2009 2:22 pm
Not really as simple as that. You right about the GT Mustang compared to the GT500. With the 25k+ you save on a GT mustang, you can build a faster Mustang than the GT500 for the same money or less.
The GT500, is a great looking car, i love it but from a value aspect, its just over-priced.

Nice car but 2 expensive why would u pay that for 1 car when for that price u could buy 4 really nice old real muscle machines maybe not 750 horsepower but very respectable for any pavement that you would drive them on. im more of a old GM fan myself there way cheaper to build and you dont need to be year specific to get most parts (MOTORS & DRIVETRAIN) the expensive stuff, i would hate to see how much the hood or doors would even cost to replace on this thing!
