As if watching Transformers over and over on DVD wasn't enough, a game version of the next movie is currently being developed. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is to appear on a PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS, and PSP near you just as the movie hits theatres on June 26. With so many platforms involved it will be very hard not to please most gamers in what the gaming community considers a certifiable future blockbuster.
The game's developers Activision say the game "will give fans the chance to experience their favorite Autobots and Decepticons in an all-new, movie-inspired adventure packed with the thrilling and explosive action that only the Transformers universe can deliver".
Players will be able to engage the game as either Autobots or Decepticons. They will be supplied with weaponry and talents specific to their chosen character. As part of the gameplay one will be allowed to switch instantly between a Transformer vehicle and its biped form. The game also allows for a multi-player option so participants can take on strangers online or try to defeat their own playing friends.
Catch a glimpse of the game on this 50-second trailer.
