Renault's upcoming Megane Grand Tour has been spotted undergoing winter testing ahead of the model's debut later this year. The new wagon will help Renault complete the Megane family of vehicles since the five-door hatchback and coupe have already been introduced.

A variety of engines will be available and all should offer improved fuel economy and reduced emissions. On the diesel side we can expect several engines such as the dCi 85, dCi 90, dCi 105, and dCi 110 which is equipped with particulate filter. Among the petrol versions that should be offered is the 1.6-liter 16V with 100hp or 110hp, as well as the 2.0-liter 16V which produces 140hp. The most popular version is expected to be the 1.5-liter dCi 110 engine which will emit less than 120g/km of CO2.

As with the rest of the Megane range, the new Grand Tour will feature a vastly improved interior with higher quality materials and a more luxurious appearance. The new wagon should also feature a host of technological goodies including a keyless ignition system, proximity locking and unlocking, and a Carminat Bluetooth DVD navigation system.

It isnt like it is going to be anything interesting, it is only a renault. The only interesting reanult ever made (in my life-time atleast) is the Avantime.

the original twingo, the first clio williams, the first clio v6, the safrane turbo, the new megane coupe, the vel satis - yeah, the vel satis, the original odd looking PAS - and even the original scenic, not to mention the pioneering espace... all of them very very interesting, innovative, appealing cars, that have either created, refined or redefined their categories.

yeah, clios, meganes and lagunas are bland and dull. but you gotta give renault some credit.
