It shows that even during great economic downfalls if you offer a premium product superior to the competition in it's market it will still sell. A nuclear bomb has not taken out 30% of the population to say demand has gone 30%, people are just more careful with their purchases, and lets face it if you have the $$ an M is not a risky purchase.

WOW, the M GmbH is doing great! Congratulations! I see that The M-division is being more and more aggressive than before with all the teaser videos for X5&X6 M. But, don't forget to keep the M up to it name! To me, M GmbH is the BMW division that puts all its strength to make cars achieve the BMW's so called "Sheer Driving Pleasure". Personally, I think it is better than M_Benz's AMG division. This is just personal opinion.

Good for them...I'm a MB fanatic...but even I have an affinity for the M3 (E30 and the new one...I don't know what the code name is...) But personally I prefer the AMG cars because it is so much easier to live with on a daily basis. They are a hell of a lazy-ass cruising car. For some reason when I get behind the wheels of an M3 I get all worked up and just drive like a maniac weaving in and out...the M3 does that to you. While in my AMG...I don't have the urge to hit the rev limiter everytime...I just take it nice an easy and floor it when there is open road. The characteristics of a car really dictates how you drive for sure...

agreed, i prefer them to AMG, too. and this just goes to show that a well-organised product can still be sold, irrespective of price.
