Between the first and second quarters of last night's nail-biter of a Super Bowl, you might have caught a glimpse of the trailer for Fast & Furious 4. Although many people watch this series just for the cars on display, people bored with the franchise may be interested to know that the original stars, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and Michelle Rodriguez, are back for this action sequel. Fast & Furious 3: Tokyo Drift director Justin Lin also returns.
Early speculation has lead actor Paul Walker driving around in a Subaru Impreza WRX STI, with Vin Diesel using a black Nissan GT-R. The new Camaro is expected to have a prominent role. Several classic cars, muscle cars, tuners, and exotics will also be seen.
Universal Pictures says the plot reunites Diesel and Walker in their roles as fugitive and cop forced to work together from Los Angeles and Mexico to take down a common enemy. But really, who cares about the plot? As long as it has racing, stunt driving, and skanky shaky women, this film will find its audience.
Fast & Furious 4 opens in many worldwide markets between 2 April and 16 April.
