Hennessey Performance Engineering is announcing upgrades for the 2009 Corvette ZR1. Two power upgrades are available. The first is for a ZR700 (shown while doing its quarter mile run on this video). Its engine has been upgraded to 705hp (519kW) which is made at a maximum of 6,400rpm. Peak torque is 717 lb-ft torque produced at 3,800rpm. Performance is said to be 3.1 seconds for the 0 - 60mph, 13.9 seconds from 0 - 150mph and top speed is an estimated 212mph (341km/h). The quarter mile is dispatched in 11.03 seconds where the ZR700 is at a speed of 136mph (218.9km/h) using factory Michelin tyres.
Making all this happen: a supercharger, an intercooler upgrade, a reprogrammed ECU and an upgraded air filter among others.
If the ZR700 does not adequately address your needs then a ZR750 could be the one to get. It boosts power to 755hp (555kW) with torque coming in at 730 lb-ft @ 4,000rpm. The ZR750 is able to blast from 0 - 60mph in 2.9 seconds, 0 - 150mph in 13.1 seconds and top off at an estimated 217mph (349km/h). It's also persuaded by a supercharger and other means such as high flow catalytic converters with mid pipes, an upgraded intercooler system and a blower gasket.
