Somewhere underneath all that padding is the fourth iteration from the current Renault Megane series. The new sedan was spied under similar conditions as the Megane Grand Tour, caught on camera a little over a week ago.
Already on the market from the series' third generation is the Renault Megane five door hatchback, as well as the Megane Coupe. Customers already get a choice of a wide range of engines, and the new Megane generation is becoming even lighter in weight. As such, the Megane line will be more fuel efficient.
The Renault Megane sedan will have similar technical specs as the Megane hatchback. Engines include the 1.5-liter dCi turbo diesel, as well as a 180 hp petrol, amongst other choices.
No word just yet on a release date for the new Renault Megane sedan, the Megane Grand Tour, or the never-before-seen cabrio and Scenic MPV. Each is expected to be on the market by 2010.
