The previous allroad was based on the A6. It's interesting to see it on the A4.

Yeah, it would be because this is actually an A6 rebadged... It's freegin' huge! I hate it. Actually, an A3 allroad would be much more appropriately sized for this segment. What've they done to the small sedans of yesteryear...?

it's my understanding that they're still gonna be producing the a6 allroad, right next to the a4 allroad. never heard of new markets? :)

Problem is, A6 Allroad is Europe only - won't come to America. A4 does have potential to come to US but don't know how it'll fit in with the new Q5 which is A4 based. (My head hurts).

I just noticed that the roof rails on this tester are actually quite a bit taller than the integrated ones on the new avant. It's a small detail, but I like the flush rails better.
