the front is nice and more elegant but the rear lights, hmm...but somehow I expected more/on the spyphotos it looked better!

I like it better than most recent Benz designs. It still carries the ponderous Benz look too much for me, though. I guess the Germans are still a few years away from giving up on the "side creasey" styling gimmick. Overall the overdone creases look better to me than most of the other overdone examples. Thumbs-up to MB for not putting on the ubiquitous Camry front fender flair styling gimmick. The tail lights do look sort of Hyundai like.
The base engine will still be a layout that doesn't belong in a car of this price range (In my opinion and some others who sort of get physics).

I really like It...and thats exactly what I expected..altho the E-class looks like sh*t.

i Like them both a lot the E class and E coupe they are beyond perfect

This is definitely my next car. I just wish the direct injection 3.5 ltr V6 was available in this car (in the U.S.) right from the start. Perfect blend of "sporty" and elegant and Mercedes virtues.

Wow!! I really expected it to look horrible, but this is very nice, I even like it more than the E sedan.

great car! what a wonderful design.
so this will replace the current CLK or it's a new model?

I liked the sedan, but I really like this. Im also now digging the new name, I never did think CL or CLK made much sense. I love this car, I cant wait until its released.

Z O M G they kept that stupid piece of black plastic at the bottom of the c-pillar! Imo it ruins the pillarless design, which was a key design feature of the old CLK.

That's so they can tuck the rear windows all the way in the fenders when lowered. It preserves the "open window pillar-less design" that we all like so much.

i don`t like the rear light, but the rest is beautiful.
In contrast to the new e-class which is fugly and old fashioned.

It's not hideous. The CL seems to handle the lines better. By comparison, this looks cluttered. I think they've *really* moved away from the understated simplicity that made Mercedes elegant.

now how does merc do that? They created that horrible E-Class Saloon, yet they produce a very good looking coupe. OK it's not as gorgeous as the CL and the rear lights are enormous, but still good looking.

This looks 1000% better than the sedan, i would actually buy one of these. I think it looks amazing and i wouldnt mind having a poster of it. It also looks less femimin than the current one which is nice

that's actually quite good-looking. i think, for once, bmw, audi and merc have produced equally good looking cars - the 3 coupe, A5 and this. personal favourite is the 3 series, but still, this turned out a lot better than i expected. not a fan of the lights though - rears are korean and fronts are... odd

finally they got rid of the rectilinear AND rounded headlights. just stick to these MB straight off that concept from a few months back, the name escapes me...

So the new german coupe line up will be 6 series, A5 and E class coupe, I love it, I never really thought the CLK fit in anywhere, not big enough to run in the 6 series/a5 circle, but to much for the 3 coupe/infiniti g37 circle. I really like this car.
