I hope you're not talking about the 500, because that's just insanity. The 500 is a damn legend.

Of course I am talking about the 500, it's hideous! I'd rather be stuck driving a prius the rest of my life then stuck driving the 500 for a year...

Fiat designed some nice models lately: Fiat 500 (A), Punto and Linea (B) and Bravo (C). But there is an issue that still require the attention of the Italian company: the reliability of its models. According to the latest rumours, the French auto manufacturer PSA (Peugeot-Citroen) will join the new Fiat-Chrysler merger, thus creating an alliance as large as Toyota or GM.

"I'd rather be stuck driving a prius the rest of my life ..." I hope you've got good karma/sowing-reaping/whatever. You may have a long life. ;^) "Imagine the fiat 500 being rebadged as chrysler pt mini cruiser, with hideous amounts of chrome on it " It would probably cost more to retool that than bring it in it in is as it is. It will depend on where they decide to build it and what they think the volume will be. Two of my three cars are German, but IMO very little off the German rack can compare to good Italian design. I know this is subjective, but some of the most beautifully penned cars have been Italian and their interior design often makes competitors look like someone's perfunctory back porch.
