So "it is" a Formula Ford... painted red, with a Ferrari logo on the nose, an Opel Calibra engine in the middle... and a horn

It has become quite a basterd with all the modifications, but then all those are strictly required if you want to travel the roads of 'Schland.
In fact, it's not much short of a wonder. Over here, it's already a criminal act if you modify your car and run it without having your paperwork updated.
And while the Ferrari prancing horse may be a bit poseur, the 204 hp result in a power-to-weight ratio of 389 hp per tonne. That's hella close to a Lambo LP640, which has 384 hp per tonne (1665 kg kerb weight).
In the end it may only a few things that distract from wanting such a toy. The possibility of an accident is one.
And the turbo-ed engine may be frustrating to, as it comes with the classic lag. He should have gone with a two-litre Civic Type R-mill.
Still want one. w/o Ferrari badge ofc.

Why not make that a Haiku!
Want one in all black
No badges at all make it
Fun times at the track
Or so.

It's not convincing. For such a small car, I guess an Atom would be a million times better. It has nearly 600 hp/ton, which is more than almost any other roadcar, and definitely more than this toy. Plus, the Atom fits a passenger ;=)

I am guessing the appeal would be because you can buy an old formula car for cheap! add on $20,000 legalizing it and it's still gonna outperform a atom on a track due to down force and what not. http://www.race-cars.com/carsales/vandiemn/1215382118/1215382118ss.htm This all being said, I to would gladly spend the extra money and get a Atom/Ultima/Reynard.

This is simply interesting!
Well, it is a car, right? There's no reason to keep it off the real everyday driving road!

If I could put any engine in that car, it would be nissans 2.6L skyline turbo I6. If that it too big then I would put the silvia's s14 or s15 engine in it.

Wee.
RTL TV piece about the car. In the last 2 yrs, power went from 204 hp to 280 hp. That's better, isn't it? :D

A pity he didn't tune the original Ford engine or replace it with a n/a modern Ford engine. Would have kept it "purer".
