Video: Nissan GT-R on Snow-covered Nurburgring Nordschleife

Supercar is just as much fun in the winter as in dry weather.

Insert your joke about 'Ring-ing in the new year here. Some German enthusiasts combined a Nissan GT-R, a set of Bridgestone Blizzak snow tires and the Nurburgring for some enjoyable winter antics. The GT-R appears to handle decently enough on the unplowed Nordschleife, thanks to all-wheel-drive and the performance-oriented snow tires. It's no record-breaking run, but the lurid four-wheel drifts are worth a watch.

The car owners are German and the track is in Germany so i guess thats why its under that title, the headline says nissan GT-R so if you dont like it dont read it.

spamme, you have no "NO interst at all in this car", but you still managed to click on a headline with "Nissan GT-R" in it clear as day. Then you proceed to scroll down and write not one, but two comments? Yeah, I can see the lack of interest. LOL

First off how can anybody not be interested in this car. This a master piece on wheels. As for the video, nicely shot and some sick driving skills. The vertical doors that was shown in the beginning is a bit much, doesn't suit the GTR at all.

i can see quite easily how you can not be interested about this car -- i'm not either, this car holds no appeal whatsoever for me.. sorry.. but i don't like the styling, it's not the fastest thing on four wheels, it's not mad and soulful, it doesn't have bags and bags of style.. i dunno, i guess it's down to personal preference, and it's not mine -- i only followed the link because i've never seen anything go around the 'ring when it's snowed under.

and agreed, gullwing doors only work on cars that were designed from conception with them in mind - italian supercars, mclarens etc. they just don't work on aftermarket tuning jobs, and certainly not on japanese cars - nothing against japanese styling, but it just doesn't suit gullwings/scissors.

Is Porsche aware that they were blizzaks? I just don't want there to be any confusion about lap times, and non-stock tires.

I am not impressed at all. I have Blizaks on my car and is 4wd also. Any 4wd will do same with these tires. If u never had them on your car even if u don't have 4wd u won't know what I am talking about. These tires are amazing. Oh yeah looks like ESP is off on the car so there goes the warranty.

The car is going too fast to notice that the esp is off, and the gtr does have a snow setting. Also, when ur a tuner, I dont think you worry abouy warrenty.

About the warrenty issue that everyone is displeased about. Warrenty is for people that use the car as a normal car. When you start testing out your car at every light and using your car to the limit every chance you get warrenty is not for you. In racing, anything can happen. Warrenty is suppose to cover normal driving conditions. When you start using your car to the limit all the time, you shouldnt look to the dealer to bail you out of your jam.

This car seems not to be able to do a clean drift in this video... Perhaps too many electronics and without the possibility of disable it?
