WCF Readers Vote Audi A7 Sportback, Audi R8 V10 Stars of 2009 NAIAS

Thousands of WorldCarFans readers responded to our "Stars of 2009 NAIAS" poll, and the votes are in. Voters overwhelmingly chose the Audi R8 V10 5.2 FSI as the "Best Production Car" at the Detroit show. Nearly 31% selected the 517 hp Audi, with the 2010 BMW Z4 hardtop convertible being the runner-up.
Other notable vote-getters include the Mercedes Mclaren SLR Stirling Moss, which got over 13%, the Fisker Karma, at 9%, and the 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 Mustang, receiving about 8.7%. The full tally can be seen below.

In our "Best Concept Car" survey, nearly 27% of voters chose the much anticipated Audi A7 Sportback Concept, making it first overall in the poll. The runner-up Volkswagen Concept BlueSport, a 57mpg turbo-diesel roadster, was not even close garnering about 15%. The Fisker Karma S, Cadillac Converj Concept, and the Volvo S60 Concept finished in third, fourth, and fifth. You can see the full chart here:
