I don't understand the purpose of these wagons. imho, they dont look as great as the sedans or coupes, so why would one want to buy a wagon version?

it looks good - not as good as the coupe, but still very nice. and i don't think the rs4 avant would destroy this (even w/o the supercharger) - like bavarianMS said, the M5 touring is a superb sports estate

Did the RS6 Avant destroy the M5 touring? The answer is 'NO'. The verdict of several tests conducted between the two cars always found the V10 Turbo charged RS6 avant way short on the N/A M5 Touringexcept on straight line acceleration (negligible difference though). The M5 was way superior in overall performance - M5 is a legend and Bench mark. Remember Jeremy Clarksons words on the M5 bad Sat Nav, Jerky gears in slow traffic but once you press that accelerator and push the car " Oooohhhhhhh!!!!!!!!"
