I said when it first debuted that I thought the external mirror mountings also acted as aerodynamic appendages, so it woulf not surprise me to see Ferrari dragged up over those items too.

Even though i am not a very big fan of Ferrari F1 i have to call out flamers on this one. This was done solely for going back to an oldschool look, i mean any douchebag can tell that these actually are bad for the aerodynamics because of their weird shape in relation to the body, they would cause turbulence. Covering them up would be simple and in fact would be more aerodynamic. Also ferrari has been pushing the regulations of F1 to the limits since the start of it, im sure they used every loophole and were very meticulous at it. Wouldnt get caught for something that obvious, like the exhaust pipes are the only thing that differentiate this car from the rest, so everyone would notice them.

Im with Bristol here. Ferrari knows how to stretch the absolute limits of the rules or have FIA overlook them when they've gone past them.
It doesn't matter though, we know this car will still hit the track is even if the exhaust mounting is technically illegal.

Last time i checked 'Auto Motor und Sport' was not the FIA. If you take a close look at all the cars thus launched - they all seem to have one thing in common and that is a raised front nose. Then how come MacLarens nose looks to be set lower than the rest. Like i said this is just an opinion and we'd rather wait for the FIA to summon teams that are 'surfing' beyound the set rule boundaries.

yes raidmeister..actually exhaust pipes creates turbulence and more drag...but perhaps ferrari has something in their sleaves..as usual

No no, this ferrari isn't illegal, it's merely ahead of the new rules change :)

Firstly I am, and always have been, a fan of Ferrari so this might be baised. All team look to get the most of the rules, thats just F1 and why we all love it. I am not sure about the exhaust (maybe a solution to last years exhaust problem?) but i believe the mirror stands are legal, the rules state no aero devices OUTSITE the dimensions specified. All Ferrari have done is reduce the width ove the side pods and to make space for the stands..... nothing in the rules about aero INSIDE the dimensions specified?
