New Fast & Furious Trailer Released

As part of its promotional marketing campaign mix Universal Pictures has let loose a movie trailer showing the new upcoming installment of Fast and Furious. Following the sequels to The Fast and the Furious which were 2 Fast 2 Furious and Tokyo Drift, many fans of the first movie were disappointed at the departure of baritone-voiced actor Vin Diesel. Well the thunder voice is back again playing the character of Dominique "Dom" Toretto.

Instead of being on the other side of the law this time Dom teams up with Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) the undercover cop who infiltrated his organization, to help the FBI penetrate a drug-smuggling importer's highly dangerous outfit. Being Fast and Furious all the action is centred on fast cars and fast women. The trailer gives only glimpses of featured machines - like modified pickups - but certainly not enough. Even less of said females appear in the shots.

Although some of the movie franchise's scripts and action sequences are questionable to say the least, the cars are always up for a good show-off. We expect to see lots of burning rubber, smoking engines, flaming exterior paintwork and fast-paced action when it's released in the US on April 3, 2009.

I hate all things rice. Fast and furious 1 and 2 were horribly written, though 3 was a pretty good script despite the automotive figure skating that is drifting. Hopefully this continues along the lines of 3

haha, is that a joke? the third one was the worst written and the worst acted. sure the first one didn't have the best writing either, but it was by FAR the best of the three.

Nahh, i was 18 when i saw the first one, second a bit older. The 3rd movie wasn't perfect but it was sure as hell of alot better writing than the first 2. I went to see the 3rd one against my will, expecting to HATE the movie and despite that i hate drifting, i left leaving the movie with actual taste for the flick.

Haha...automotive figure skating...that's funny, and I love drifting...I'm curious though, as to what you refer to NASCAR and drag racing as????

Drag racing is a test of reaction timing and car performance. Nascar is a MASSIVE test of endurance as those boys run for hours on end in a VERY hot cockpit. Hours on end on a track thats shaped like a bowl, fighting the cars tendancy to understeer or oversteer depending on suspension settings. Fighting/controlling the car for hours on end, running as wide as 3 cars wide through the banks. The cars are 7.4L 800hp sports cars. Drifting is about style and looking pretty and holding as wide as possible an angle through a corner. It takes plenty of skill...but so does figure skating. That doesn't make it any less weak though.

Well said! I'd argue that drifting requires more car control talent, however. It's like that other oh, so favorite activity. Do you go hard and end in 10 seconds or less? Do you go for hours and achieve nothing, and make an extraordinarily boring experience, or do you go with lot's of style, lot's of control, and make a generally good showing of it? HAHA - Either way, agree to disagree, I suppose! Still a good line, on your part though...

i think that the third one was the best (i also am not a big fan of drifting) and i hope that this one is like the 3rd one becuase 1 and 2 were rubbish I do think though that they are really milking the fast and furious idea though, they should just stop and give it an ending

Drag racing is a simple test of acceleration - one single aspect of a car. NASCAR is the least competitive form of professional driving. Left-left-left-left-left-4 hours later-left-checkered flag. Its fine for people to like these crappy things but it is important to simply be honest about them.

I enjoy these movies. Knowing something about cars really helps boost the comedy factor of the series. Seriously the everything from how they explain things to how things "blow up" and magically drive away when the cops show up is just plain funny.

this looks like it has hope for a story but the CG is bad in the trailer and frankly a movie that uses soulja boy as music is well....thumbs down

I'm sure it will be great! They have all been great...great in the same way Baywatch was great. You have to take them for what they are. Saying these movies have lousy plots is like saying that Pam Anderson is a terrible actress....it just doesn't matter!

yeah but the third one shouldn't have even been called fast and the furious, it was completely different than the first two, it was just a money graber. frankly they were pushing it with making the second one

I just thank god that Tyrese isn't in it. But the kid from the third one was probably the best actor in all the movies. They should have worked him in somehow. Part 2 was the worst.

I found Tyrese a much better actor than Paul Walker. Man his eclpise V6 was UGGGGLY though. Not the car itself, but what they did to it...BAD.

Tokyo drift was a good movie , apart from the annoying leading role , the best bit was some of the most gorgeous girls and some really good drifting . What was annoying was putting a jap engine into a ford mustang and it just happening to fit the gearbox as well ...

All these films used poor actors (vin DERV) and poor poor storys (3rd was ok), just like the need for speed underground's ruined the need for speed game series, What is with putting sad kiddie stickers on your paint? to tell everyone what mod's u want but cant afford but make people belive you have them, strobes too (wtf)!!!!! and Putting a jap engine in a Mustang is criminal it's like putting a yugo engine in a ferrari 365 daytona!! WTF, all I can say is "Get a good car to start with"!!!! (HINT, HINT)

It seems that there are few latest car in this film

Whoa ... i cant believe some of you guys said tokyo drift was better or something like that.It had a horrible plot.(I wish i could get in a street race for some skank and total my car and have the option to move to japan when its clear i should be in jail. Then on my first day there some guy gives me a car and wreck it WTF WTF really what is that don't get get started with the yakuza part)Only good thing about Tokyo drift was the camera work.It would have been a better movie if they just showed the cars and some hot Japanese chicks with no acting. I apologize when it comes to movie i get critical. 1 and 2 weren't the best it ,But out of all of them which would you rather watch. I would pick 1

Ya, because there aren't action movies with worse, less plausible plots that have sold way more tickets.
