Racer X Design BMW RZ-M6

Racer X Design is mixing the old and new with this RZ-M6. Based on the current 6 Series, the RZ-M6 attempts to capture the looks and aggression of the older E24 BMW 6 Series but still keeping the nice modern bits. A prime example of this is the car's shark nose reminiscent of the 3.0 - 3.5 CS/CSi/CSL coupes from the late 1970s.

Racer X Design basically replaced the present-day body panels but kept the body structure very much the same. The major change made was to widen it by 50mm so as to afford the wider tyres better grip. Power has also been attended to and increased even though an ordinary M6 already has loads of that.

The look that they went for is one of a mature but yet powerful car, not a boy racer overloaded with kit and over-the-top aggression. The RZ-M6 could make it into production, but only if partners "who have the same passion for the BMW brand" are found. Interested parties can log on to www.racerxdesign.com for more information.

I like that. And given that I don't like BMWs and loathe most aftermarket tuners, that's saying something. I'd even have it in Martini colours.

Please, please don't compare the beautiful engineering of this to the challenger...

It isn't really that great of engineering... just a bunch of new body panels and wider tires, couldn't really expect more from a company named Racer X Design.

If the fascia were flush with the headlights, this would be amazing! It's as though, they knew exactly what I always thought the 6 series SHOULD look like...no goofy Bangle rear end, no awckward, sharkish front headlights. I was so with them until they went with the Camaro-esque front overhangs.

It is a nice looking car, but somehow it reminds me of the concept M1 car that was release recently. I hope that the kidney design can be more distiguishable, and can stand out more.

This design hits the spot. If BMW wants to get serious and get back the customers they lost, this is the right direction. Bangle lost BMW's design direstion. This will bring back BMW with a bang.

no, bangle brought a new design direction, coupled with an enormous influx of sales. while you may enjoy a lovely bandwagon ride, please do all remember how successful bmw is under bangle.

yeah the bangle bmws if anything have attracted buyers (and caused most car companies to copy him) for example the bangle 7 series sold more than any previous 7, causing it to be the first 7 to outsell merc's s-class

it may caused more new clients but it also lost many old clients( including my self)

Bangle's blithering bungles may have benefited from a number of technical glitches that plague mercedes S-class, thus, accidentally increasing sales to outsell the mighty three pointed star. But it's resale values that are what really count and when an older model 5 series commands a higher resale value than the current design then you know the design is a complete lemon. It's even worse when Toyota owners openly make fun of the fact that they might be driving a plain jap-crap car, but at least it cost half the price and is half as ugly.

bmw is the reason for the climb in sales, not bangle. they wanted to bring the brand upmarket and it worked. bangle designed some of the ugliest cars in the world and if such a work like this could get much better reaction than bmw's design studio then it proves bangle is just crap

This car has the design cues from Alfa Romeo in front. All the lights and airducts are nearly the same design of Brera though this design has two lights for each side.
