Mercedes debuted the SLR Stirling Moss, a last hurrah for the supercar, and the high-tech B-class based BlueZero concept. The concept highlights three green powertrains including electric, fuel cell, and electric-hybrid versions. At a preview event Mercedes also showed off the redesigned E-Class ahead of its Geneva debut in March.
Audi previewed the upcoming A7 by introducing the Sportback concept which is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 diesel that produces 225 hp and 307 ft-lbs of torque (550 Nm). The company also pulled the wraps off the much anticipated R8 V10 which has a 5.2-litre V10 that cranks out 386kW (525hp) and 530Nm.
Toyota unveiled their FT-EV concept which is based off the iQ and hits at a possible production model that should hit the market by 2012. However the biggest news from the company was the introduction of the redesigned Prius and the debut of its Lexus counterpart the HS250h.
Volkswagen's debut of the BlueSport concept showed us green motoring doesn't have to be boring. It features a 2.0-liter TDI engine with 180hp and 250 Nm of torque that allows the lightweight roadster to hit 62 mph in just 6.6 seconds.
Cadillac showed off their Converj concept, a two door take on the Chevy's highly publicized Volt electric-hybrid, and the redesigned 2010 SRX crossover.
Kia spiced up the Soul by chopping off the top and creating a Jeep Wrangler like concept called the Soul'ster.
BMW went drop top crazy by showing the new Z4 with its retractable metal roof while company cousin Mini broke the ice by debuting the production version of the Mini Cooper Convertible.
Honda unveiled the new Insight, a Prius fighter that gets 40 mpg city and 43 mpg highway.
Ford showcased the new Euro inspired 2010 Taurus while Lincoln debuted their new seven-seat crossover the MKT and a small five-door hatchback concept called the C.
Volvo debuted the S60 Concept which hints at the styling direction the 2010 production version will take.
Fisker introduced the production version of the Karma sedan and showed off its convertible concept cousin, the Karma S Sunset.
