Check out this video of Chrysler's new electric sports car being put to a test. The Dodge Circuit EV is featured prominently throughout the four-minute clip, showing off the new concept from every angle.

Shots of the 200 kW (268 hp) car include a totally quiet hard start from standstill. Power is delivered from a lithium-ion battery to an electric-drive motor. The driver of the car only has access to three settings: drive, neutral, and reverse.

The car gets to 60mph in under five seconds, and finishes a quarter-mile in 13 seconds. Top speed is 120mph. Range of the car is expected to be between 150 and 200 miles (240-322 km). Recharge can take place in any household plug.

Based on the Lotus Europa, the Dodge Circuit EV was first seen as an unnamed concept back in September. Now closer to a production vehicle, it is on display at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

wooow... even the tail lights work! As much as I would like to this on the road, I just don't see how it can possibly be that much cheaper than the Tesla while maintaining those performance numbers.

because it probably doesn't have an interior.

The Fisker is a luxury performance car!

This is just a dodge...

if Dodge got Lotus to build it for them like Tesla do and Opel used to (the Speedster) then the risk for dodge would be minimal... the costs low- Lotus already make it as the europa... and Lotus would gain more custom

plus the weak pound makes british manufacturing cheaper

The Europa is not an exciting design itself... and Dodge's redesign, with cliche-ed looks from the last decade are not doing it any good either.

Your opinion. I think the car looks great. To be frank, the car doesn't look Bit**. It looks like a sports car with muscular lines, like a mini-electric Viper. Speak for yourself my man.

I thought no one would mention it. The Stealth. Wasn't that their first all-wheel drive sports car?? My Uncle had one when it first came out. It was a fun car. I like this Dodge maybe they should have someone else build them a sedan.
