Check out this video of Chrysler's new electric sports car being put to a test. The Dodge Circuit EV is featured prominently throughout the four-minute clip, showing off the new concept from every angle.
Shots of the 200 kW (268 hp) car include a totally quiet hard start from standstill. Power is delivered from a lithium-ion battery to an electric-drive motor. The driver of the car only has access to three settings: drive, neutral, and reverse.
The car gets to 60mph in under five seconds, and finishes a quarter-mile in 13 seconds. Top speed is 120mph. Range of the car is expected to be between 150 and 200 miles (240-322 km). Recharge can take place in any household plug.
Based on the Lotus Europa, the Dodge Circuit EV was first seen as an unnamed concept back in September. Now closer to a production vehicle, it is on display at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
