This car is a rebadged Volt with Cadillac styling. It's a FWD so it's less sexy. But if it's based on the Alpha RWD platform, it will start at $50,000, solar panels not included.

wow! what an amazing looking concept, and sharing the volt's platform helps make production of this car have a glimmer of possibility. At least, without the solar panels that is.

So good looking, Cadillac the people have spoken, Bring it! if GM have the cash to do it.

Much better looking than that CTS Coupe garbage. Proportions are much better, and the car looks very modern and sleek. One of the best I've seen from Cadillac. Finally..they're starting to get it.

That garbage you talked about is actually a RWD, and it's roomier. It's based on GM's coveted Sigma platform, the same as Cadillac CTS.

Your point? My comment was on the aesthetics of this car. Nothing much more than that. I still think the CTS Coupe looks like garbage.

I don't know - that one looks more like a euro style hot hatch than a caddy - a nice one ok. The stitching on the interior renderings is a bit loud, too.

Ok, do u want a big 60's barge? Caddy hints the european market as much as the the american one, So if u can't makes the europeans to like american cars, give caddy an euro flavor, and keep it's Cadillac sharp lines wile ur doing it.

I hate to be the first to say it, but this looks like trash. A big grill and thin lights don't go together. 161bhp? What kinda pencil sharpener is under that hood?
January 11, 2009 6:33 pm
I only agree with you on the power output. pretty weak.
I want petrol baby.

WOW! I WANT ONE IN MY GARAGE!
Looks absolutely terrific!
Pininfarina design quality here!
Give me a V-8 and put me on the waiting list!
January 11, 2009 6:35 pm
Exactly. That'd be wicked. Could compete with the likes of the Maserati Gran Turismo.
January 12, 2009 4:48 am
This is really really good looking car, it would be a waste not to fit a V8 in it.
January 12, 2009 7:34 am
It looks awesome.
all the haters of FWD out there european cars do just fine with FWD... move out of the 1950s people- V8 RWD barges aren't the future and i think Cadillac should build this if they realsie that.

Now just give it a retractable hardtop, a V variant to compliment to frugal version, and call it the next gen XLR. Very nice.

I hope this marks a new generation of quality/beautiful cars for GM. The design is fantastic, better than the competition. If it drives as a class act it should make Cadillac hot again.
